Forgotten EP by Truncate, released on his own label Truncate, contains three techno tracks with tight grooves, muted menace blended with percussion clipped and mechanical, while synth elements remain minimal, often more textural than melodic. These tracks aren’t built for hands-in-the-air drops; they’re tools for sustained hypnosis, designed to lock dancers into a steady forward motion. In that sense, the EP feels deeply functional but never disposable. Each track has enough character to stand on its own, yet they work best as part of a longer narrative in a DJ set.
